Sunny English Basement in SE DC
For rent is a recently renovated basement apartment directly across the river from Navy Yard. The Location The house is located on a quiet block in the otherwise vibrant neighborhood of Historic Anacostia. It’s a 4-minute walk to the Green Line (Anacostia metro station) and the Circulator (to Barracks Row). Anacostia metro station is one stop from Navy Yard (Nats park, DC United Audi Field, Harris Teeter, Blue Jacket, etc). The house is approximately a 10-minute drive from the US Capitol. It’s also a short walk to local eateries (Busboys & Poets, Kitchen Savages, Starbucks, Mama's Pizza, Turning Natural juice bar + more), cultural attractions (Anacostia Arts Center, Anacostia Playhouse, etc) and parks (Frederick Douglass National Historic Site, Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, etc). The Space The basement apartment is approximately 550 square feet with a separate entrance, full kitchen, separate bedroom and full bathroom. Since half of the unit is above-ground, it gets a lot more natural light than a typical basement. Other features include an in-unit washer/dryer, stainless steel appliances, and an ADT security system. The Housemates The apartment is completely separate from the rest of the house, which is occupied by three friendly Christian male professionals. While everyone keeps busy with work, ministry, and hobbies, the roommates like hanging out in the common areas together too. So there is an option for as much or as little socializing as desired :-) The Details Rent is $1375 + share of utilities. The lease term is a year and the unit is available now. Optional off-street parking is also available for $50/month. If interested, please send me an email: anacostiahouse@gmail.com

Seeking CM for Fully-Furnished Master Bedroom Suite in Capitol Hill Townhouse
For Rent: ($1,750/mo) Fully-Furnished Master Bedroom Suite in Capitol Hill Townhouse Renting out my master bedroom suite in a huge 3bd 2ba townhouse right off of Lincoln Park on Capitol Hill until Summer 2025 (negotiable dates). The fully-furnished bedroom comes with a private mini-library study attached to the bedroom (the one with the leather couch), TV, and private master bathroom that overlooks the backyard and surrounding houses. The other two bedrooms are occupied by two Christian males in their 30s who are great guys, and share one bathroom between them. The house is a gorgeous 1930s townhouse with high ceilings, a working fireplace, and a large kitchen by Hill standards. The dining room opens up to a large screened-in back porch with a well-kept and landscaped backyard that is perfect for hosting or escaping the 9-5 hustle. The house has a detached garage decked out with all the power tools you may need for projects, garage beers, and a heated and air-conditioned WFH desk. I am leaving for graduate school abroad until I plan to return next summer, of which my exact return date is negotiable. The sub-rental period would ideally start October 1st, 2024 and last until July 1st, 2025. This would be ideal for an intern, fellowship, or someone who wants to land in DC long term but would like to not worry about house-hunting or buying furniture immediately. We’re looking for a Christian guy who is considerate, clean, and fun to be around. Both current roommates are great to be around and easy-going. Would love to find a mechanically inclined guy to occupy the space since I’ll be leaving behind the keys to my old muscle car in the garage, which would be free for you to take on the occasional weekend cruise. Please reach out if interested to grahamlhiggins@gmail.com with a quick introduction of yourself.
