Looking for someone to replace me on the lease for a primary bedroom in a 3bed/2bath Navy Yard apartment. The other two roommates are early-20s female professionals. Move-in available immediately, and the lease ends in August 2025.
About the room/apartment:
- The bedroom includes a walk-in closet and a private bathroom. Basically fully furnished — mattress, bed frame, nightstand, closet hangers, various lamps, small bookshelf, desk, and chair are included.
- The apartment has two bedrooms and a den — the other two roommates use the secondary bedroom and the den-turned-bedroom and share the hallway bathroom.
- The apartment is a <5 minute walk from Whole Foods, <10 minute walk from Harris Teeter, <15 minute walk to the Capitol South Metro Station (orange/blue/silver lines), and <7 minute walk to the Navy Yard-Ballpark Metro Station (green line).
- Rent is $1767 (base rent and amenity fee), plus utilities usually come out to around $61. No security deposit.
- The apartment complex has multiple gyms and pools (including a rooftop pool and barbecue areas). The apartment itself also offers daily/weekly/monthly activities so that you can get to know your neighbors!
Who we’re looking for:
- A respectful, kind, and (mostly) clean woman in her twenties. You don’t have to be spotless, but you would have to clean up after yourself, as we share a living room + furniture and kitchen + kitchenware. We also rotate chores weekly (vacuuming, Swiffering, taking out the trash).
- Someone who isn’t afraid to engage in discussion without judgement. We love to have thoughtful conversations and encourage each other to express dissenting viewpoints. No judgement allowed!!
- A roommate who would enjoy partaking in the apartment’s activities. We love organizing and hosting events and would encourage you to join and bring your friends (birthdays, pop-up cafes, etc).
About the other two roommates:
- They are extroverts but they know how to respect boundaries and time if you need!
- They have a hybrid work schedule, so they go into the office 2-3 days of the week.
- They generally sleep around midnight/a little after.
- They are Christian/Catholic!
