The Room
Bedroom 1 (9′ x 13′) is bright and comfortable with a window, ceiling fan, and spacious closet. The bathroom is shared with one other roommate. Available furnished or unfurnished.
Bedroom 2 (12' x 13') has large windows offering a distant view of the National Arboretum. The room comes with a ceiling fan, balcony, large closet, and large personal en-suite bathroom with shower and bath. Available furnished or unfurnished.
The Roommates
We’re all Christian professionals in our 20s. We attend churches in the area, such as Church of the Resurrection and King’s Church. Two of us are in the military. The rooms are opening up because one of us is getting married and another one is moving to make a career transition. We're organized, clean, and respectful. We're also active—hiking, running, rowing, weights—and like to cook, read, watch movies and sports, and travel. We also like to have fun together and do fellowship meals every couple weeks.

The Area
It’s an easy jog over to the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, or walk to the stunning Francis A. Gregory Neighborhood Library. We have great, friendly neighbors, both on our street and in our building. Hillcrest is mostly detached single-family homes, with some rowhomes and condo buildings like ours. Lots of trees and green space.
Recommended for guys who drive to work, but there is also convenient bus access one block away on Pennsylvania Avenue. About 1 mile from the Potomac Ave and Anacostia metro stations. Convenient commute by car to Capitol Hill (9 minutes), Georgetown Law Center and Johns Hopkins-SAIS (9 minutes), the Pentagon (16 minutes), and Old Town Alexandria (20 minutes). Also Coast Guard HQ (9 minutes), Suitland Federal Center (9 minutes), and JBAB (11 minutes).
The Numbers
Bedroom 1 is $985/mo and Bedroom 2 is $1285/mo. Utilities run to about $90/mo per person. We keep a non-smoking, pet-free home. We can do a 6-12 month lease, with the option to extend.
