Looking for roomate!
Hi y’all! My roomate is moving out to be closer to her work, so I’m looking for someone to takeover over her lease. It’s a 2 bed 2 bath apartment in navy yard. Rent is about $1700. Your room isn’t furnished but most of the furniture/decor in the shared spaces is mine so you wouldn’t have to worry about that (if you did have furniture/decor for the shared space, there is still room for that too)! The move in date is flexible, anytime in April/May would work and then the lease is until October. The apartment complex has an awesome rooftop with fire pits, outdoor seating, grills, a pool and a really cool view of the Capitol and Washington Monument! There’s also a great gym, 24/7 concierge, and dry cleaning service (if desired). I’ve really enjoyed living here, it’s super convenient and feels very safe! A little about me! I’m 25, from Maryland and went to Clemson University where I got my bachelors in sports communication and political science, and my masters in athletic leadership. I moved to DC last August and work on the hill. I love sports, huge Clemson and ravens fan! My relationship with Jesus is the most important thing to me. In my free time I love exploring the city, going on walks, reading, going to sports games, concerts, comedy shows and hanging out with friends (sharing meals, playing cards & games, watching tv, going out occasionally, etc). Looking for a roomate who’s also a girl in her mid 20s, kind, friendly, clean, and wants to be friends!! Message me if you’re interested! Insta: megan.kinner

House of 5 CM in Petworth: Spot(s) opening June 1 (Metro accessible)
Hello! Our house of 5 has one and possibly additional spots opening up. We are all Christian guys, age range 22-34, and enjoy various activities including running, hiking, cooking, and having friends over. We would prefer to live with someone who is also hoping to grow in their Christian faith. All guys are heavily involved with our local churches, which include Grace DC, Fourth Presbyterian (Bethesda), Church of the Resurrection, and King’s Church. This house is concluding our fourth year of living together and have benefitted tremendously from each other’s friendship. As much as we’d love to keep our current roster, one guy is leaving when our lease comes up for renewal on May 31. We are hoping to find a guy to fill the large shoes he will leave. We may have additional vacancies with guys whose job/city situations are in flux right now, but those are not yet confirmed. About the house: The house is situated on an awesome corner lot in a quiet part of the Petworth neighborhood. While residential, we're only about a 7-minute walk to the Georgia Ave Metro stop (yellow/green line) and grocery stores, plus about a 3-minute walk to a Bikeshare station. There’s also a small neighborhood market across the street from us. Parking is incredibly easy, with unrestricted zones on both sides of the house and open spots anytime. The house has a HUGE yard (seriously, it's massive) and we enjoy using it as a fun gathering space for the occasional summer party or chilly autumn evening around the fire pit. It's also got a very solid kitchen with granite countertops, huge TV area, and a half-wraparound patio outside, all of which we use frequently. There are a ton of windows providing abundant light. Utilities usually come out to about $125 pp/per month, split evenly. About you: We'd hope to have our new roommates be someone who wants to do more than just coexist with us, and who is down for the occasional house hiking trip or museum crawl. All of us maintain active schedules, social calendars, and generally live on-the-go lifestyles, so we try to intentionally get a house dinner or other comparable house outing on the calendar every few weeks. If this sounds appealing, please reach out so we can chat more! Logistics/Rent: Each of us has a $1,000 security deposit from when we moved into the house. You would need to purchase your interest in it from the outgoing roommate. Our lease is up for renewal at the end of May, but finding a good fit is important to us. Therefore, feel free to reach out even if your desired dates do not align perfectly, and we can attempt to negotiate a solution. Rents vary based on room size and will be renegotiated internally in advance of the next lease cycle; generally, we expect the cheapest rooms to rent between $800-900/month, the middle rooms around $1,100/month, and the biggest room will likely rent between $1,300-1,400/month. We look forward to chatting with you!
