Seeking CF for Fairfax Townhouse w/Monthly Cleaning
Hi! I am a Non-smoking Christian Female, seeking the same. A little about me, I am in my early 30s, a sales engineer who works from home. I go to a local church, and volunteer as worship leader and tech lead at Bible Study Fellowship. We have two cats, so looking for cat friendly folks, but unable to have additional pets. The room is gorgeous!!! In fact, it’s almost a whole floor, which includes private bath, spacious closet, double-windows, and ceiling fan and light. In addition there is a semi-private workout/living room area and an open-air balcony at $1,250/month. The living room contains is an Apple TV and armchairs. The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and table. Included in the rent is high-speed wifi, parking, storage, common kitchen items, and a monthly professional cleaning. All house members share utilities and cleaning responsibilities, ranging from ages 20s to 60s; it’s a very harmonious and fun group that watches out for each other. Utilities range from $30-$50 monthly. You must work in the office at least 8 hours/day during the work week; no remote workers and hybrid workers will be evaluated on case-by-case basis. Kitchen use is highly recommended to meal plan. My heart is to build a Christian community; where the common areas are a flexible place to hang, hold small groups, Bible studies, get-togethers, prayer meetings, and board games. We have monthly dinners and celebrating personal events like birthdays and holidays are highly welcomed! The townhouse is located in The Towns at Boulevard VI in the City of Fairfax and is about 2800 square feet. There’s plenty of hangout spots, like 2 living rooms each with an Apple TV, and two balconies for everyone to have their privacy and their friends over. The community has a walking path around the whole area, a park nearby, and an upcoming Mosaic District-like development within walking distance. The house is walking distance from the Shops at Fairfax, Aldi, Planet Fitness, Heart, 99 Ranch, Panera, Duck Donuts, Starbucks, Old Town Fairfax, Lowes, CVS, Fairfax Presbyterian Church, parks, Walmart, and many restaurants. Vienna metro stations is about an 8 min drive away or a 15-minute CUE bus ride. GMU is about a 5 min drive or 10 min bike ride and the CUE stop is just outside my house. If this sounds appealing to you or someone you know, please email and APPLY HERE: https://forms.gle/WVjoUqqL31NBUVuw7 Looking forward to meeting you! Best wishes for finding a place where you can thrive.

House of 5 CM in Petworth: Spot opening Dec. 1
Hello! Our house of 5 has one spot opening up at the end of November. We are all Christian guys, age range 23-33. We prefer to live with someone who is also hoping to grow in their Christian faith. All guys are involved with our local churches, including Grace DC, Fourth Presbyterian, Church of the Resurrection, and Del Ray Baptist (Alexandria). One guy is leaving at the end of November to embark on married life. We are hoping to find a guy to fill the large shoes he will leave. About the house: The house is situated on an awesome corner lot in Petworth. We're only about an 8-minute walk to the Georgia Ave Metro stop (green line) and grocery stores, plus about a 3-minute walk to a Bikeshare station. There’s also a small neighborhood market across the street from us. Parking is incredibly easy, with unrestricted zones on both sides of the house. The house has a HUGE yard (seriously, it's massive) and we enjoy using it as a fun gathering space. It's also got a very solid kitchen with granite countertops, huge TV area, and a half-wraparound patio outside. There are a ton of windows providing abundant light. Utilities come out to about $125 pp/per month. About the room: The room is a spacious, rectangular space of around 150 square feet on the top floor of the house, with a full bathroom. It’s carpeted and offers plenty of open floor space. There’s also tons of wall space for decorations, and since it’s set apart from the rest of the house, it provides a nice sense of privacy. The outgoing roommate is selling all the furniture currently in the room, including a standing wardrobe, dresser, bed frame, and desk with a chair, so you’d have a ready-made setup if interested. The bathroom is fully attached to the room, but partially shared with the ground-floor roommate, since his level only has a half-bath. You’ll have the space to yourself most of the time; there will be some shared use for showering. About you: We'd hope to have our new roommates be someone who wants to do more than just coexist with us, and who is down for the occasional house hiking trip or museum crawl. All of us maintain active schedules and generally live on-the-go lifestyles, so we try to intentionally get a social activity on the calendar every few weeks. If this sounds appealing, please reach out so we can chat more! Logistics: Each of us has a $1,000 security deposit from when we moved into the house, which you'd need to purchase from the outgoing roommate. Our lease is up for renewal at the end of May, and we hope to re-sign at that point.

Openings at the Jonathan House-- A Christian Men’s Community on East Capitol Street
The Jonathan House is a covenantal Christian community, rooted in Washington, D.C. since 1986. Situated on East Capitol Street, just a ten-minute walk from the House and Senate office buildings, the Jonathan House offers young Christian men in their 20’s who work full-time an opportunity to grow deeply in Christ through a shared life of discipleship, service, and intentional fellowship. The vision of the Jonathan House is to cultivate the mind, heart, and character of Jesus Christ in every resident. Our desire is to see lives transformed, not by comfort or convenience, but by commitment to Christ and one another. Drawing from Romans 12:2, we long to see our minds renewed and lives reoriented around the truth of the Gospel. In community, we learn to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), to encourage one another toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24), and to embody the love of Christ to both our brothers in the house and to every guest who enters our door (Romans 12:13 and 1 Peter 4:8-9). The Jonathan House is a home for young men desiring to walk by faith and not by sight, to grow in Christlike maturity, and to pursue a rhythm of life that reflects devotion to Him. Jesus called His followers to be a light in the world-- “A city set on a hill cannot be hidden... let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:14–16). We seek to be that light-- on Capitol Hill, in our workplace, and in every area of our lives. Each resident commits to a weekly Bible study and house meeting. We eat dinner together as a community at least three times a week, sharing responsibility for cooking and cleaning. We hold quarterly retreat, monthly ‘work days’ and host regular parties. Each member of the house also commits to spending time daily with Jesus Christ in prayer, Scripture, confession, adoration, and intercession. Each resident is expected to be an active participant in the life of a local church, attending weekly worship services and engaging in the broader body of Christ. While the Jonathan House fosters fellowship and spiritual growth, it is not a substitute for the Church-- which is the body of Christ and the primary context for corporate worship, biblical teaching, the sacraments, and pastoral care (1 Corinthians 12:27; Acts 2:42). Rather, the Jonathan House serves as a communal expression of Christian fellowship that supports and extends the life of the Church in daily living. The house itself has six rooms, thirteen beds, and three and a half bathrooms. For more information, feel free to contact me (Stone Griffin) at 540-931-3237.
